About

At 25 I finished my bachelor in architectural engineering, the following 3 years I moved to a new country, learned a new language, volunteered for different projects,  got the chance to work as an architect, and reached my main objective to regain my health after being ill for 10 years. 

All these experiences showed me that sustainable and low carbon architecture is my passion, a challenge and the road I want to follow all around the world. For now it brought me to Denmark where I got my masters.

Sustainability is not only a part of my worklife, the last year I have explored living in a Tiny Home made completely out of sustainable materials, and in my spare time I design clothes instead of houses.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Architecture studio, Cabella Ligure — architect, volunteer

January 2017 - July 2018

My main part in the project was helping helping to draw in the existing structure of the castle that was to be renovated and its surroundings, which was quite a challenge as there is no single straight surface or corner and we had 3 ways of mapping with significant differences in measurements. 

Atelier BAHIA, Cabella Ligure — architect

January 2017 - July 2018 & April 2019 - June 2019

We were a small team working on different projects.  I helped with all the different steps, from designing and planning to drawing out concrete plans.

Solar Decathlon project - Aurora DTU team  Sep- Dec 2020

I joined the first term of the competition, the team consisted of about 20 people from as many nationalities. It was very interesting to work with all disciplines involved from design to construction in 1 room. 

Amazings, Antwerp — volunteer model builder

June 2007 - 

Since I was 15 I often joined my parents in my spare time to help out at their company “Amazings”. Amazings is into art and events with LEGO®bricks. I was mainly involved in architecture type model building, and every now and then I assisted at LEGO serious Play related teambuilding sessions.    

Inner Peace Day project, Brussels, Paris, Madrid — volunteer

May 2016

I joined the first Inner Peace Day in Belgium after the terrorist attacks in the airport, to help children and students in the schools find peace again through games and meditation. Ever since I’ve been travelling and helping with international organization every opportunity I had the last years to join this project in cities all over the world.

September 2016 - July 2018

CISS  is an international boarding school. I was a teacher for Dutch language courses, and helped in other classes as well. My main job however was to stay with the children outside their schooltime looking after 8-16 girls.
